The Rouse Raiders used an impressive sweep over Glenn to nab the top spot on the Power Rankings podium as district play got underway in earnest last week. The Raiders slipped in front of Buda Johnson who split their series with a sub-.500 Canyon squad in a pair of 1-run games. Behind them, there was surprisingly little other movement at the top of the rankings as Dripping Springs, Liberty Hill and Georgetown all swept their games last week to round out the Top 5.

So, too, did Lake Travis who returned to form in dominating a good Bowie squad, to climb to #6. Weiss gave up a spot after splitting their district opening series with East View. Round Rock remained at #8 after splitting their series with Vista Ridge and holding off McNeil. The Dragons could move up or down in the weeks ahead. (The same can be said for the Rangers, who entered the Rankings at #14 with the split and win over Stony Point.) Bowie settled at #9 and Hendrickson moved up a spot after a sweep over Elgin to round out the Top 10.
