After a wild week of baseball that provided more comers and goers than a NASCAR race at Talladega, Weiss settled into the top spot of this week’s Power Rankings. That spot opened up when Buda Johnson dropped a couple of hard-fought games to Schertz Clemens to drop to #3 behind Dripping Springs. The Tigers stayed pat in silver after an intense split with Bowie heading into this week’s crucial showdown with Lake Travis, who surged to #4. Georgetown broke into the Top 5 after sweeping Elgin and holding off Liberty Hill in an intriguing non-district game on the road.
The second group of five is just as chaotic, with the Panthers settling at #6, followed by Bowie up to #7. Weiss slipped to #8 with Round Rock and Anderson rounding out the Top 10. Hendrickson, Cedar Ridge, Westwood, Vandegrift and Vista Ridge all held serve at the bottom of the Rankings.
