Cy Creek started the season 0-3.
That start didn't derail the Cougars' season like it would to some teams that start winless. Since suffering losses to Klein, Klein Oak and Cy Falls, the Cougars have rattled off two-straight wins.
Victories over Jersey Village (53-9) and Stratford (49-2) have thrust the Cougars back into the playoff picture sitting at 2-1 in District 17-6A with Spring Woods set for Saturday.
Cy Creek's offense enters this week second best in the district at 390.6 yards per game and is just an average of four yards per game behind Cy Falls. Defensively, Cy Creek ranks fifth giving up 289.8 yards per game.
The breakout star has been Julian Uwadia at quarterback. Uwadia has gone 94 of 164 for 1,186 yards and 15 touchdowns with three interceptions. The senior has completed 57 percent of his passes.
