THE VYPE RANKINGS powered by Lone Star College: CE King holds on; Shadow Creek makes statement

The CE King Panthers are still sitting on top of the VYPE rankings, but they had to earn it.

CE King held off Summer Creek, 27-20, to maintain its grip on the No. 1 spot in Greater Houston. The Panthers continue to prove they belong among the area's elite, but the competition is heating up as the postseason approaches.

Shadow Creek made one of the biggest statements of the week, knocking off Top 5 Pearland, 55-35, to clinch the district championship. Meanwhile, Klein dominated Klein Collins to secure its own district title.

Langham Creek is headed to the postseason for the first time since 2018 after picking up a key victory, while Cypress Lakes continues to turn heads with a win over ranked Cypress Woods.

Barbers Hill knocked Deer Park out of the VYPE Top 25, and Atascocita made its way into the rankings after taking down Crosby to secure a playoff berth.

CLASS 5A: DRAMA, DISTRICT TITLES AND A NEW TOP-10 TEAM
