THE STANDARD: No. 10 Barbers Hill want more after 2025 state semis

10. Barbers Hill Eagles (5A)

Barbers Hill surged through the 2025 playoffs, sweeping three of four series before falling to state runner-up Smithson Valley in the Class 5A Division I semifinals. A 34-8 finish set a high bar, and under legendary coach David Denny, now entering his 16th season with 620 career victories, the Eagles are poised for another deep run.

The heart of this team is returning firepower. All-district selections Josh Digulio (.287, 1 HR, 24 RBIs) and London Schick (.345, 2 HR, 24 RBIs), a Bossier Parish CC commit, lead a lineup that blends power and consistency. Infielder Ryan Garcia (.361, 1 HR, 21 RBIs) and DH Adriano Hayes (.329, 2 HR, 16 RBIs), both all-district honorees, round out a veteran core capable of producing in every inning.

The Eagles’ pitching also returns key arms. Jordan Davis went 4-0 with 32 strikeouts over 27 innings last season, while National Park College commit Hayden McDaniel and Gabe Maricle bring some added punch to the mound.
