The Westwood Warriors rode a 24-game winning streak – and a perfect 16-0 record in a competitive District 25-6A - to edge Westlake in our final Boys Basketball Power Rankings of 2025-26. Lake Travis, who split with Westlake in a couple of overtime thrillers, clocked in at #3, although honestly any one of the teams down through #8 Glenn could make a case for the podium.
With Vandegrift holding off Round Rock to earn a split in their season series, Bowie slipped back ahead of the Dragons with the Vipers right behind at #6. Hendrickson edged Glenn for the top 5A honors with Cedar Park and East View nipping at their heels.
After playing well in defeat against top-ranked Westwood and after qualifying for the playoffs, Vista Ridge remained at #11 while Rouse completed a sweep over Liberty Hill – and eliminated the Panthers from the playoffs -- to move up to #12.
Speaking of sweeps, Austin LBJ swept Manor New Tech to solidify their hold over New Tech as the top 4A squad in the area.
And with the regular season in the books, we close the books on our entirely subjective Power Rankings for the year and move on to the objective results on the court.
