A Look Back

Last season Forney had a roller coaster preseason schedule before opening district with a bang- a 32-30 triple over time victory over neighboring town rival Crandall. Forney continued to ride the high of that victory as they posted a 6-2 district record to finish at the No. 2 spot in their district- just behind Ennis.

Although the team fell short in playoffs with a first-round exit after a hard-fought 45-21 loss to Frisco Liberty, the Jackrabbits had a season to be proud of.

Looking Ahead

Forney is looking to make a mark this season. With the ability to regroup and focus on each new task, the Jackrabbits will have no trouble starting the season off strong. With a handful of tough leaders returning to the field in the fall, the Jackrabbits are sure to make their mark.

The team opens up their season with back-to-back away games in preseason matchups with Crandall and Mesquite Poteet before hosting West Mesquite in their home opener.

What To Expect

Forney will have a little bit of rebuilding to do as they head into this season. However, the team has a lot of talent in upperclassmen who will help guide the way for the newcomers. Expect to see hard hits and big plays coming from the Jackrabbits this season as they attempt to have a better playoff push.
