BASES LOADED: Chemistry is key to No. 11 Deer Park

No. 11 Deer Park Deer

As Deer Park enters the 2024 season, they are eyeing to give opponents “7 Innings of Us”.

Coming off a 32-win season, which included a trip to the Regional Final, the Deer return three starters for Amy Vidal-Bush, who enters her fourth year of leading the program.

Four-year letterman Hanna York (Houston Christian-commit) and three-year letterman Kylie Wilson (Prairie View A&M-commit) are back in the fold. Wilson was also the District 22-6A Pitcher of the Year in 2023.

Other players to watch for the Deer include Camryn Plocheck (Texas State), Payton Tullis (Southern Arkansas-commit), Mia Montemayor and Aleena Carrizales.

Keys to success include finding key role players within their new players, leadership from the returners and overall chemistry, according to Bush.
