Aledo Bearcats Baseball (25-8, 7-2)

Aledo ISD Athletics

Aledo has played hard all season. Not only did they finish at the top of their district, but they have been putting in the work throughout the post season in order to get to where they want to be. So far in playoffs, the Bearcats have ended the seasons of Denton, Burleson, Burleson Centennial, and most recently, Abilene Wylie.

In a 2-0 series sweep over Abilene Wylie, the Bearcats scored a total of 10 runs while only allowing one run. The team is poised and ready to head into the next level of playoffs, but first they must face Mansfield Legacy.

Mansfield Legacy Broncos Baseball (30-8, 13-1)

Mansfield Legacy finished at the top of their district with only one loss in district play. Currently on a hot streak, the Broncos are fired up and ready to do whatever it takes to get to the state tournament. With decisive fielding paired with timely hitting, the Broncos have been working toward a common goal all season and should be expected to play hard against a strong Aledo team.

So far in playoffs, Mansfield Legacy has ended the seasons of Trimble Tech, Justin Northwest, Birdville, and most recently Lubbock Cooper.

What To Expect:

Mansfield Legacy is a strong team that isn't going to make making it to the next round for Aledo. With strong base runners and a smart defense, they aren't going to be a cake walk for the Bearcats. However, the Bearcats are focused on one thing and won't stop until they get that done. Fans can expect to see a fight to the finish from both teams.

Game one is expected to begin at 7 p.m. on Friday at Cleburne High School. Game two will be played at noon on Saturday at the same venue with a third game immediately after if necessary.
