Can Canyon Lake go further that last season?

Canyon Lake enters the 2026 season with plenty of momentum after making school history a year ago. The Hawks finished 24-17 and advanced to the Class 4A Regional Final for the first time, setting a new standard for the program.

Head coach Daniella Villarreal returns a talented nucleus led by Gabby Fory, Izzy Fory, Preslie Owens, Te'a Gonzales and Kylee Goff. Gonzales is a player to watch after emerging as a potential breakout performer who could play a key role in the Hawks' continued success.

Westlake will surprise this season

After finishing 31-16 and advancing to the Regional Finals last season, Westlake enters 2026 with another talented roster and aspirations of making an even deeper postseason run.

Head coach Miguel Saenz welcomes back a strong core led by Kyrksen Cook, Sunny McWilliams, Clayton Kelly, Geralynn Byers-Veal, Magdalene Ryan and Kaitlyn Tse. The Chaps also have several rising contributors poised for breakout seasons, including Taylor Chorazy, Magdalene Ryan and Jaxie Ryan.

THE 6 Rotation: A New Era Begins For Cedar Park Volleyball

A new era begins at Cedar Park as John Henze takes over the reins of a program that captured the Class 5A State Championship in 2025 after finishing with an outstanding 39-12 record.

While there is a new head coach on the sidelines, the expectations haven't changed.
