No. 22 -- Dobie Longhorns
As has been the case in recent years, Dobie remained a consistent, looming threat in H-Town last spring, finishing 18-13 and placing second in the ultra-competitive District 22-6A.
The postseason provided a spark, however, as coach Robin Rackley and the Longhorns knocked off Ridge Point in the Bi-District round, securing the program’s first playoff series victory since 2021 and fueling renewed optimism heading into this campaign.
That momentum resurfaces with a solid rotation of proven starters. Junior outfielder Persephone Soria, a first-team all-district selection, led the offense with a .459 batting average and 30 RBIs. Senior shortstop Natalie De Hoyos, a Texas A&M–Victoria signee, also earned first-team honors after hitting above .400 with 14 RBIs.
On the mound, senior RHP Vanessa De La Fuente (Texas Lutheran) anchors the bullpen after posting a 12-8 record with an ERA just north of 3.00 and 145 strikeouts. Meanwhile, senior second-teamer Chloe Nunez (Alvin CC) adds versatility as both an outfielder and pitcher after batting .388 with 12 RBIs.

The stars of 2025-26 Cy-Fair Softball
No. 23 -- Cy-Fair Bobcats
Led by coach Lisa DeBruin, Cy-Fair shared the 17-6A title with Stratford last season, with both teams going 12-2 in district play. The Bobcats opened the postseason with a 10-0 rout of Lamar before falling to nationally ranked Katy in the Area Round.
A strong nucleus of proven playmakers comes back to lead the Bobcats as they aim to build on a 20-10 campaign and seize full control of the district slate in 2026.
Power-hitter Cori Figgs (Sr. RHP/1B), a Grambling State signee and first-team all-district pick, will anchor the pitching staff and batting order, after hitting .373 with 20 RBIs and four home runs last spring. Sophomore outfielder Claire Lindsay, 17-6A Newcomer of the Year, batted just under .400 while amassing 17 RBIs and 28 runs scored.
Furthermore, junior utility player Chloe Rios (second-team), junior outfielder Addisyn Merriwether (honorable mention), and senior catcher Amelia Tarr (Central Baptist College) help compose a group expected to keep Cy-Fair in contention at the top of 17-6A.

The stars of 2025-26 Memorial Softball

No. 24 -- Memorial Mustangs
Memorial returns to the diamond after a 22-6 season that saw the Mustangs reach the second round of the 6A Division II playoffs, falling only to a formidable Foster program.
Entering 2026, head coach Stephanie Royce and her squad aim to retake the district crown while pushing even deeper into the postseason. With 14 varsity returners on the roster, the Mustangs are well-positioned to make a statement.
The offense is led by junior catcher Sophie Vlasak, a first-team all-district selection who hit .455 with a stellar 43 RBIs and 13 home runs. Senior first baseman Bella Borrego, also a district first-teamer, posted a .500-plus batting average with 32 RBIs and eight home runs.
Seniors such as outfielder Brooke Kearns (.409 BA, 18 RBIs), Reagan Siblik (3B), and Riley Cannizaro (SS) will provide additional firepower. On the mound, senior right-hander Karli DeAnda, a Texas Lutheran commit and second-team honoree, should keep opponents honest, while Mercedes Bujanos (Sr. 2B/Mary-Hardin Baylor) brings depth and versatility as an honorable mention pick.
