As the regular season wraps up within the next few days, Houston's exceptional talent on the pitch prepares for an imminent playoff run in the coming weeks.
Not much has changed since the mid-season point, in terms of rankings.
Seven Lakes remains the team to beat in H-Town, as the Spartans have their sights set on capturing their second-consecutive Class 6A state championship. Ridge Point, Strake Jesuit, Dobie, and district rival Cinco Ranch are among the teams that can potentially give them a run for their money.
Meanwhile, The Woodlands, College Park, Bridgeland, and Cy Woods could very well be the team representing Region II in April.
In the Class 5A landscape, the Terry Rangers have yet to be defeated thus far, with over 20 wins to their name. Kingwood Park has dominated in Region II, while Fulshear, Wisdom, Angleton, and Goose Creek Memorial have excelled within their respective districts.
With the playoffs on the horizon, it's time to sort out who to watch as the brackets begin to narrow.
