Following another series of contests this past week, there still hasn't been too much movement regarding who falls into the city's top-10.
While Cibolo Steele rested up on a bye week, Brennan, Pieper, and Alamo Heights kept cooking, with the latter-two remaining undefeated throughout this Fall.
The Harlan Hawks climbed the ladder after a one-sided victory over Stevens last Friday, bringing their record to 6-1 on the year, while Canyon re-enters the top-10 after a hard-fought win against East Central.
One of the more intriguing matchups taking place in Week 9 will be between the aforementioned Harlan and district counterpart Taft.
As we near the final moments of the 2024 regular season, it's still anyone's title to win. Look below to see how everyone is shaping up.

South Grand Prairie Warriors
Head Coach: Brion Raven
District 8-6A
South Grand Prairie advanced all the way to the final game of the 2024 season.
The Warriors defeated Summer Creek out of Houston to advance to the Class 6A Championship game. There, South Grand Prairie fell short to fellow Dallas-area team Duncanville.
The Warriors finished 33-4 and brings back District MVP and TABC All-State selection Taylor Barnes off that squad.
With so few familiar faces returning to the huddle, coach Brion Raven (179-39) says a major key to their success in 2025 is the new players to varsity adapting to the speed of the game.

Demolition derbies. Circular firing squads. Musical chairs. Whatever you want to call the district playoff races, we’ve reached that time of the season where every game seems to matter more.
So far, the favorites keep winning. Westlake and Lake Travis continued their district domination with convincing wins over Bowie and Dripping Springs respectively to solidify their spots atop the rankings (and District 26-6A). Meanwhile on the other side of the bi-district divide, Vandegrift and Round Rock both cruised to keep on track for their regular season finale which might determine the winner of 25-6A.
It’s just as intense in the 5A races, with Liberty Hill holding off Pflugerville to crack the Top 5 and Georgetown crushing East View to join Weiss inside the Top 10.
Most of the other teams experienced marginal movement in this week’s rankings. One development of note is Wimberley’s first appearance in the Power Rankings, debuting at #20 to become the fourth 4A team listed. (LBJ and Lago Vista are the others).
Here are this week’s rankings heading into Week 9.
