THE POWER RANKINGS: Vista Ridge, Liberty Hill solidify hold on Austin-area Girls Basketball
Top-ranked Vista Ridge cruised through last week to remain on top of this week’s Girls Basketball Power Rankings but there was some flip-flopping going on beneath them. Liberty Hill eased past Hays then snared a marquee road win over Cedar Park at The Timberdome to move up two spots. Glenn slipped a spot after a double-digit loss to those same Lady Timberwolves, who remained inside the Top 10 after the quality split.
Round Rock won their rematch at home with Vandegrift to climb a spot while the Lady Vipers remained inside the Top 5.
Further down the Rankings, Lake Travis climbed over Manor New Tach after the Lady Titans dropped a home game against unranked Lago Vista. Similarly, Rouse climbed a spot following a couple of easy wins coupled by a Savio loss to St. Michael’s in TAPPS action.
There’s not a lot of ranked matchups this week so we’ll see if our Power 15 hold serve or if upsets shake things up.
