Kyle Coats broke the internet when he was named the new head football coach and athletic coordinator at Atascocita High School.
After making history at College Park High School last season—winning a district title and advancing three rounds deep into the playoffs—Coats quickly became one of the hottest names in the state.
Now he takes over a powerhouse. Atascocita is a hotbed of football talent, and Coats brings the energy and vision to build on the foundation laid by Craig Stump.

Episcopal High School softball has been a brand for years—dominating the Southwest Preparatory Conference like few programs can.
Now, the Knights welcome Courtney Oliver-Elkins to the dugout from Wichita State University. The longtime college coach has strong Houston ties, including a stint at University of Houston, making this a seamless return to the Bayou City.
It’s a big-time hire for Episcopal—and a sign that the tradition on the diamond isn’t going anywhere.
