At 3-1 on the season, the Episcopal Knights are a team looking better than ever.
The Knights knocked off Navasota 28-2 in the opener and blew out Sam Rayburn 47-0 in Week Two. They stubbed their toe against St. Pius, before beating Greenhill over the weekend in a lop-sided 44-0 victory.
Comeback, redemption and determination are just some of the words that drive this team. For the past two years, the Knights have fallen short of the championship in the SPC. This year, the team is willing to do whatever it takes to earn back the title.
With senior leadership from Obe Lewis (OLB), Arden Napier (WR), Nick Mayberry (QB), James Ogunrin (MLB) and Ethan Tuckwood (WR/QB), they want nothing more than to win an SPC championship and end their high school careers on top. Couple that with a stellar junior class with nationally-ranked prospects such as four-star offensive tackle Donovan Jackson, three-star Cullen Montgomery (OT) and three-star Luis Chavarria (OG), and Knights have elite-level talent.
Others to watch include Quon Marion (RB), Colin Crane (WR) and Spencer Scheps (WR/FS).
Next Friday, Episcopal faces St. John's for Homecoming, with hopes of going 2-0 in SPC play.
