The Marshall Buffs, Fort Bend ISD's state 5A-Div. II football finalists from 2018, will try to improve to 2-0 when they take on the Hightower Hurricanes tonight at Hall Stadium. The non-district matchup is on VYPE Sports Radio at vypefortbend.com, and the 'Canes will take their second shot at getting their first win under new Head Coach Joseph Sam.
Marshall won its opener last Thursday at Aldine Eisenhower, 32-9. Quarterback Malik Hornsby was 6-for-9 passing, and rushed for 121 yards and a TD on only three carries.Hightower scored with 2:28 remaining in its first game vs. Fort Bend Travis, but could not score on a two-point conversion try. The Tigers held on to win, 35-34.
