District Preview: Plano West making statements

Plano West's Lady Wolves volleyball program has been making statement victories during their non-district schedule. Looking toward district play with only a handful of non-district games left, fans can expect this squad to put in the hours and work that it takes to dominate over their opponents this season.

Non-District So Far

The team has only lost two matches through non-district play so far to post a 14-2 record with an 88% winning percentage. Dropping 15 of 54 total sets, the Lady Wolves have recorded victories over the likes of South Grand Prairie (3-0), Highland Park (3-1), McKinney (3-0), Southlake Carroll (3-2), and more. With only two non-district games left in this season, the team is looking to make a couple more impactful victories over a usually tough opponent Lucas Lovejoy and Bishop Lynch. Plano West will face Lovejoy on Friday, September 1st and then Bishop Lynch on Tuesday, September 5th before opening district play.

What To Expect

Plano West opens district play on Friday, September 8th on the road against Coppell. The Lady Wolves are a tough bunch this season led by Aajaylah Zeno, Lillian Carstens, Ella Willenborg, Jaida Gray, Reese Poerner, Emily Osborn, Kate Mansfield, Gabby Seeds, Callie Leverett, and more. As they look to have a successful season like last year's finish at the top of their district with a three-round playoff run (31-4, 13-1), this team can be expected to push it to the limit and come out ahead.

Be sure you catch the Lady Wolves in action as they continue to battle against their opponents this season!
