The Buffs' speedster has already been named a finalist for one major Texas high school football award with the regular season finale next on the docket.
It was announced earlier this week that Achane is one of 25 finalists for the Mr. Texas Football award presented by Wells Fargo in conjunction with Dave Campbell's Texas Football and Academy Sports & Outdoors Texas Bowl.
Achane was one of three athletes from Houston selected as a semifinalist joining North Shore's Dematrius Davis and Klein Oak's Dwight McGlothern.
This season, Achane has helped guide FB Marshall to an 8-1 overall record and 6-1 mark in District 11-5A-DII play. Achane enters this week second in the district in rushing with 1,177 yards and 20 touchdowns.
