The VYPE Media team traveled out to Second Baptist School earlier this year for the SBS 2020 Fall Media Day.
The athletes were socially-distanced and masked-up as VYPE captured images of the top football, volleyball players, cross country runners, and cheerleaders.
The St. Pius X Panthers are playoff-bound. Their challenge? One of the toughest draws in the state — a showdown with Liberty Christian, one of the top TAPPS programs and among the most talented private school teams in the nation.
Coach Shaun Stephens has his squad ready to go, leading a determined group that’s eager to shock the state and extend their season. VYPE’s Matt Malatesta caught up with Coach Stephens and a pair of his defensive tone-setters — linebackers Peter Green and Sam Erwin — to talk playoff prep, leadership, and what it will take to pull off the upset.
