PLAY BALL: Concordia Lutheran Wins First Game of the Season Against a Tough TWCA Team
After falling short of winning the State Championship game last year Concordia Lutheran is on a mission this season to win the State Championship trophy they were so close to hoisting up last season.
Tonight the Saders played their first game of the season against The Woodlands Christian Academy, a team who is loaded this year and will be making a big run in 5A TAPPS.
The Crusaders were victorious in the hard fought game, winning with a final score of 3-2.

Offensively the Crusaders got the bats going in the Top of the 2nd Inning. After a walk by Alex Petrovic, RF Michael Herndon hit a RBI Double to bring in Petrovic. With Runners on 2nd and 3rd, DH Garett Piere knocked in a run with an RBI single.
The Crusaders scored their third run in the top of the 3rd inning. After Sean Fitzpatrick worked his way around the bases after a HBP, Fitzpatrick scored on a throwing error giving Concordia a 3-0 lead.
TWCA would come back the Bottom of the 3rd and score a run after RF Arrington Eason knocked in Nolan Necomb with a RBI single. The Warriors also managed to score a run in the bottom of the 7th off a RBI single by Nick Pinnon.
Defensively the Crusaders had Class of 2023 Auburn Commit Alex Petrovic on the mound to start the game pitching 4 innings, allowing 1 Run, and the Junior pitcher also had 9 K's. Arkansas Signee and Senior Pitcher Sean Fitzpatrick came in to close out the game pitching 3 Innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 5 batters on the night.

Some key contributors to the Crusaders offense tonight were: Sean Fitzpatrick 1-2, Michael Herndon 1-3 RBI Double, Jax Traeger 1-2, and Garett Piere 2-3 2 RBI and a Double.
