The Woodlands has long been a breeding ground for elite quarterbacks — from Chance Mock (Texas) to Mabrey Mettauer (Sam Houston State). But could Jack Daulton top them all?
The incoming senior has all the tools: blazing speed, a high football IQ, and a cannon for an arm. His skill set has made him a national recruit, and he gave his verbal pledge to TCU earlier this year.
Daulton’s stock rose even higher this summer when he led the Highlanders to the UIL State 7-on-7 Championship, showcasing his leadership and playmaking under pressure.
VYPE’s Matt Malatesta caught up with the rising star as he gears up for the 2025 season — from his offseason grind to his goals for the fall.

Iowa Colony four-star wide receiver Jayden Warren has announced his commitment to Houston on 7/13 day.
The Pioneer star wide receiver commits to Houston over TCU and SMU.
For Warren, the decision to to commit to Houston was all about the loyalty the Houston staff has shown him from the beginning.
“Houston was there at the beginning of my recruitment and has stuck with me ever since offering,” Warren said. “That was really one of the biggest factors for me committing was just the loyalty they’ve shown me from the start.”
The ability to stay home and play at a Power Four school in Houston also meant a great deal to Warren.
“Just knowing that I’m close to home and my family is close by feels really good,” he said. “My family and friends are all excited and just being able to help build up that program that they’re building there is exciting.”
Now with his commitment out of the way, Warren is looking forward a big senior year with Iowa Colony.
“We lost a lot of people from last year’s team and we know we’re going to have to put in a lot of work to go further than we went last year,” Warren said. “Getting my commitment out of the way before the season was big for me because at the end of the day my goal is to go 16-0 before I head off to Houston.”
Houston has a star in Iowa Colony’s Jayden Warren, watch out for him and the Pioneers this fall as they look for another deep playoff run in 2025.
