The state of Washington — with major support from the Seattle Seahawks — has officially sanctioned girls 7-on-7 football as a varsity sport.
VYPE’s Matt Malatesta caught up with Eastside Catholic’s Paul Morrisroe to discuss how the sport has taken off across the country, what Washington’s landmark decision means for the future, and why his Crusaders are poised to make history.
Eastside Catholic is off to a blazing start this season as Morrisroe and his team aim to capture what could be the first-ever girls 7-on-7 state championship in 2026.
