Regular Season Play
During non-district play, the team took down some of the area’s tough opponents like Plano (3-0), Frisco Memorial (4-1), Richardson Berkner (5-2), and more. Focusing on their desire to remain strong, learn resiliency, and lead each game with a demanding presence, the Bulldogs were able to showcase their ability to set the tone early in each game.
Through district play, the team boasted an unblemished 12-0 record. Dominating their district opponents with victories over Greenville (7-2), Denison (5-0), Melissa (7-0), Princeton (3-0), and more, the team secured moments on the field that led them to where they are today. Ready to enter the playoffs without hesitation, the Bulldogs were prepared for anything.

After taking down Red Oak in a 4-1 victory to open their playoff run, the Bulldogs can be expected to continue strong. Focused on the light at the end of the tunnel, this team is powerful right from the start. Finishing second in their district standings, the McKinney North Lady Bulldogs soccer team entered playoffs ready to shut down anyone who stands in their way. As the team continues strong, VYPE DFW takes a look at their season:
Regular Season Play
At the start of the regular season, McKinney North took on several talented non-district opponents. In doing so, the team was able to take down the likes of Carrollton Newman Smith (4-0), Trimble Tech (8-0), Royse City (2-0), and more en route to district play. Sharpening their ability to remain focused on the field, the team was able to hone in on their talents and learn to stay resilient.
Led by talented athletes like Mary Kessler, Danica Anaya, Katarina Soto, Katelin Kenealey, and others, the team entered district play with a fire lit. Powering over opponents like Melissa (4-0), Sherman (5-0), Denison (7-0), and others while securing a 9-1-2 district record (12-5-2 overall before playoffs).
What’s Ahead
Entering playoffs with a resounding 4-1 victory over Corsicana, the Lady Bulldogs have proved that not only do they have fight, they have the ability to focus moment-to-moment and go after the things that they want. Ready to make big waves in the playoffs, fans can expect this squad to fight hard and secure more strong victories as they play for a chance to make a state tournament appearance.

Spirits are high for Kingwood Park, as the Panthers (17-2-2) enter the 2024 postseason fresh off the heels of claiming the team's first district title since the 2020-21 season.
Under the direction of coach Christian Boehm, KPHS has propelled forward on the Class 5A scene due to the exceptional efforts of stars such as Finn Bruce, Luke Caballo, Evan Jimerson, and Ronan Flaherty, among others.
VYPE's Matthew Ogle caught up with coach Boehm ahead of the Panthers' upcoming matchup against Hallsville, in the opening round of the playoffs.
