Then there’s Champion, whose dominance is becoming increasingly difficult to overlook. The Chargers improved to 5-0 with a 61-32 win against Anderson, continuing what has been an impressive start to the campaign. Harlan also re-enters the Top 10 after defeating Marshall, 59-14, last week, with the Hawks now sitting at 4-1 heading into their bye.
The 4A ranks, meanwhile, set the stage for one of the week’s most intriguing matchups. Tivy (4-0) and Davenport (3-1) are both unbeaten in District 13-4A Division I and now prepare to clash Friday. With the district race still taking shape, the matchup could ultimately play a major role in determining the division champion.

As has been the case for much of the fall, Kash Schwab seized control of the game, finding the end zone four times. The senior tailback and UNLV commit accounted for all four of Bridgeland’s touchdowns — a feat that also speaks to the work of the offensive line — while potentially altering the trajectory of the district standings in the process.
Senior QB Taylon Villanueva adds another dynamic element to head coach Lonnie Madison’s offense, which is currently averaging 33 points per game. Villanueva has the athleticism to unlock the attack’s full potential, and now it will come down to execution as the season progresses.
The Bears’ defense continues to make plays when it matters, headlined by safeties Braiden Graves (Kansas commit) and Camden Buchanan on the back end, while Jordyn Sims and Regan Fodje generate pressure up front.
At 3-1, Bridgeland controls its own fate moving forward, though that will be put to the test by a demanding stretch of district opponents. The Bears face Cy Springs this Saturday before taking on George Ranch and Fulshear in the weeks ahead.
