Miles High School junior Skyler Brooks was named first-team all-state shortstop in Class 2A by the Texas Sports Writers Association June 30, 2019.
Brooks, the All-West Texas softball team Hitter of the Year, batted .790 and had seven home runs for the Lady Bulldogs.
Also in 2A, Winters sophomore Arazeli Reyes was a first-team pick at second base while Harper's Gracie Green, a junior, was a first-team pick at utility/designated player.
