The John Cooper School girls' basketball team is putting together something pretty special on the hardwood.
It's early, but the early results have been impressive as they are putting the Southwest Preparatory Conference on notice.
"We've returned all five starters and had some new pieces come in who will make a big difference this season," coach BJ Feuerhelm said. "Our talent combined with our camaraderie will make this a really special season."
Most recently, the Dragons won the Brookshire Classic over the weekend with wins over Grace Community, Legacy Christian and Bishop Gorman.
Katelyn Wood, Ajailah Ogiewonyi and Aalyssa Rogers were named all-tournament for their exploits. Freshman Jorynn Ross looks like the future, while senior Alex Sims brings senior leadership.
The Dragons look to extend their four-game winning streak Friday at home against Humble Christian Academy.
