The Bridgeland Bears’ athletic department may be defined as “during” Conner Weigman or “after” Conner Weigman.

The superstar QB and shortstop is off to Texas A&M, so now what? The Bears baseball team should be okay with some stars of their own returning and coach Paul Orlando running the show. Bridgeland made school history in 2021 reaching the Regional Quarters after winning district.

Yes, Weigman is gone but the Bears are blessed with an ace pitcher in Murphy Brooks (TCU) and a national recruit at catcher – Ryan Williams (Mississippi State). That’s an impressive DI battery.

Justin Kim is a slick shortstop, who can also pitch. Kim was the District Newcomer of the Year and is committed to Princeton. Will Croft (ETBU-signee) will play a corner position and pitch as well. Football star Andrew Maleski will patrol the outfield and can speed around the bases.
