ALPHA MINDSET: No. 10 Langham Creek's historic bid commences

No. 10 -- Langham Creek Lobos

Langham Creek returns fresh off a spring that saw the Lobos post a 27–7 record, cruise to an undefeated District 16-6A title, and claw their way three rounds into the postseason, where their momentum was unfortunately thwarted in the Regional Semifinals by state runner-up Forney.

Looking to carry over that propulsion, LCHS boasts an exceedingly balanced batting order, making them among the most dangerous squads in Region II.

Langham Creek Jr. SS Mia Martinez (North Carolina commit)Matt Powell (VYPE)

North Carolina commit Mia Martinez headlines the unit, aiming to build on a sophomore season in which she posted a team-high batting average just under .500, drove in 35 runs, and blasted eight balls over the fence — production that earned her first-team all-district recognition. Fellow junior Kassidy Martinez committed to UT-Arlington, also secured a first-team nod after going .451 at-bat, driving in 32 runs, and scoring 42 more — another team high for the Lobos.

Head coach Michele Biffle will also lean heavily on a veteran senior class, led by first-team honoree Sydney Foster at first base, second-team all-district outfielders Rebekah Foster and Gabriela Brookshire (Kilgore JC), and district honorable mention Avery Smith (RHP), who steps into a featured role in the circle following the graduation of 16-6A MVP Karli Challburg (Delaware).
