Tulsa Offers Another Springdale Underclassman
By: MikeCapshaw

No one has to tell Gus Malzahn there's a talent pool full of prospects in Springdale.
And he's making sure he's the first one in on them.
The former Springdale High and Shiloh Christian coach recruits the state of Arkansas for the University of Tulsa, where he's the offensive coordinator. He's certainly paying close attention to his old hometown as Tulsa has extended yet another offer to an underclassman from Springdale this week
Mitchell Roberts, a 6-foot-2, 231-pound junior linebacker from Shiloh Christian, was offered a scholarship by the Golden Hurricane this week. He joins teammate Travis Bodenstein, a 6-4, 295-pound sophomore tackle, and Springdale Har-Ber's Houston Pruitt, a 5-11, 165-pounder
Malzahn changed the game of football with his Hurry-Up, Nu-Huddle Spread offense and now it appears he's changing the recruiting game, in Springdale at least, by offering scholarships much earlier in the process than usual.
Shiloh Christian opens the season Sept. 5 at Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian while Springdale Har-Ber plays at Greenwood for its Sept. 5 opener.
