Brooks Graphics Displays Passion For Print

Brooks Graphics Inc.’s motto “We print on t-shirts, caps, jackets, mugs, jugs, jocks, socks and table tops,” isn’t far from the truth.

With 30 years experience in graphic design and screen printing, W. Brooks Swink brings his passion to the table — the table he probably just got through printing something on.

Located off of W. North Street in Fayetteville, Brooks Graphics has printed and designed items for the Arkansas Razorbacks and Arkansas Comets, one of the premier soccer programs in the state, sporting events.

Sports enthusiasts also might catch Brooks’ work at many of Fayetteville’s athletic traditions including the Joe Martin Stage Race, a USA Cycling tour that attracted more than 700 professional and amateur riders from more than 40 states during its 31st anniversary in May.

“I became interested in screen printing a long time ago because it is a way to express art and goes hand-in-hand with sporting events,” said Swink.

Swink enjoys embellishing products with creative opportunity. In fact, one of the first shirts that he, along with his team of talented designers and printers, developed was “Super Sid.” The graphic portrayed Sidney Moncrief as a hog dunking the ball while floating in the clouds. Moncrief was widely popular Little Rock native who was part of “The Triplets” that led the Razorbacks to the 1978 Final Four and played 11 seasons in the NBA.
The creative group was rewarded when it sold about 2,000 pieces, mostly via a 1-800 number because they were unable to sell any on the University of Arkansas’ campus.

Recently, Brooks Graphics broadened its printing capabilities and is now home to large-format digital printing, an industry trend where Brink wants to stay on the cutting edge and ahead of the game. The team can now produce full-color art on banners, cars, boats, floor graphics, wallpaper and high-resolution photographs on canvas. They can do signs for event, too.

“We have the capability to create custom designs that are completely original and cater to each specific sporting event,” said Swink.

Brooks Graphics ability to spend more time on creating an answer to unique printing needs and less time standing behind a printer makes the Fayetteville company tough to beat.

Add in its creativity, quality and competitive pricing combined with a quick turnaround and Brooks Graphics is a one-stop shop for any printing needs, even on the jocks and socks of Northwest Arkansas.
