VYPE Select 7-on-7: Friday's Scores

FAYETTEVILLE — A pair of Arkansas private schools were the only teams to survive the first day of pool play unbeaten during the first annual VYPE Select 7-on-7 Tournament, presented by McDonald’s, at the University of Arkansas.
Pulaski Academy, led by senior quarterback Spencer Keith (pictured), posted a 6-0 mark with wins against Bentonville, Russellville, Greene County Tech, Blue Valley, Mo., Arkansas Baptist and Rogers Heritage. Shiloh Christian, led by sophomore quarterback David Matthews, went 6-0 with wins against Des Arc, Gentry, Fayetteville, Bryant, Siloam Springs and Lake Hamilton.
Several interesting matchups wrap up pool play Saturday with three rounds of games beginning at 9:25 a.m. A single-elimination tournament will begin at 1 p.m. with the finals set for 5 p.m. At 10 p.m., two teams picked by VYPE Magazine to win their respective classifications square off inside the Walker Pavilion when Class 5A Pulaski Academy hooks up with Class 4A Lonoke.
Please note that all of Saturday's games will be played on the University of Arkansas campus as originally scheduled.
