Keep ideas coming, though, especially through summer as we focus on spirit and non-traditional high school sports more than ever. We’ll continue to consider every suggestion and will always find ways to highlight the most deserving.

Seems like only last week when we were fumbling our way through our first issue, simply trying to unearth enough stories and photos to fill all the pages.

Time flies when you’re having this much fun.

Now that we’re already to issue No. 10, the struggle isn’t about filling holes, but rather finding enough space to include all the superb photos and story ideas that come our way each month.

Keep the ideas coming, though, especially through this summer as we highlight spirit and non-traditional high school sports more than ever. We’ll continue to consider every suggestion and will always find ways to highlight the most deserving.

The cover story of our 10th issue is about hot-hitting Rogers senior Seth White, an Arkansas Tech signee who’s knocking the cover off the ball and has played so much baseball that he’s basically an on-field coach for the Mounties.

Our second main feature will give you goose bumps and may even bring a tear to your eye. It’s on Elkins coach Beverly Mabry, a wonderful inspiration for all of us as she keeps her head high despite suffering from leukemia.

In Feature 3, Springdale senior goalie Kayla Knight shouldn’t even be playing soccer due to a degenerative knee disease. But she plays through the pain by refusing to use her ailment as an excuse.

Feature 5 could have ended up in our Family Affair section with Van Buren pitcher Kelsey Williams having the unique situation of playing for her father, Pointers coach Andy Williams.

Another family-rich story wraps up our Feature section with the Bowen Brothers of Springdale’s Har-Ber High. They have sports in their DNA and excel in both baseball and football for the Wildcats.

Also don’t miss our Triple Play with Prairie Grove pitcher Logan Ariola, Family Affair on Fayetteville’s Hogue Family, The Grill with Union Christian Academy coach and athletic director Brian Fry, One on One with Springdale pitcher Chloe Brown, GamePlan Youth on a Fort Smith basketball team drawing national acclaim, Where Are They Now? with former West Fork and Arkansas Razorback slugger Bubba Carpenter and much, much more!
