Drive For Success

Chloe Brown has been making a name for herself on the softball field before she is even able to drive a car.

As a freshman last season, Chloe struck out 123 batters, averaging nine per game. Brown had two games in which she struck out 14 batters and another stellar performance where she struck out 15 players. Her freshman season gave Brown the experience needed to help her to continue her success on the field.
Chloe said the disappointment of not making the state tournament last year by a few runs has given her and her teammates the motivation needed to excel this season. Coach Cole Carpenter said,“Chloe has all the intangible skill levels to be a great player.”
Carpenter also said as he travels around to area coaches’ meetings that his peers tell him all the time he will be fine this season because of players like Chloe Brown. Away from the softball field, Chloe loves hanging out with her friends and playing other sports, such as: volleyball and basketball.
Brown also intends to try out for the Springdale High School tennis team this year. When it comes to the sport she loves, Chloe knows that her role on the Springdale softball team is to lead her team with her impressive pitching skills.
At only 15-years-old, Chloe Brown has big dreams. Chloe aspires to play softball on the college level and hopes to one day make it to the College World Series of Softball in Oklahoma City. While most high school students are enjoying summers by the pool or working part time jobs, Chloe Brown spends her time on the softball fields with traveling teams andtaking pitching lessons. Brown says she “enjoys the versatility of playing all positions during the summer with her travel ball teams.”
Chloe would love to invest in the sport that has invested so much in her life. Brown hopes to major in kinesiology, or maybe even coaching once she enters the college arena. This talented young lady believes that, “softball should have a more dominant role in women’s athletics.” She, like many female softball players, believes the sport is deserving of more exposure than it currently experiences.
Chloe Brown has a lot to look forward to this season such as improving her already impressive stats, helping the Lady Bulldogs become more competitive in the 7A softball league and finally being able to drive!
