A Letter From The Director
I want to first thank all those involved with the inaugural Vype Select 7 on 7 Tournament Presented by McDonald’s. We had 20 plus volunteers who made it possible. It was a HUGE success with over 30 teams, 1,000 plus people per day and over 850 high school athletes on the campus at the University of Arkansas July 11 & 12. There is no question that the tournament would not... More

Letter from the Director
Continued growth has defined our first year in Arkansas, as expected. We released VYPE’s inaugural statewide Football Preview last month and are hosting the first annual VYPE Select 7-on-7 tournament presented by McDonald’s – and we’re lovin’ it!— on the University of Arkansas’ campus this month.
Besides making the VYPE transition complete with this issue, we’re also launching a Central Arkansas monthly magazine in September, along with all the... More

Timeless Story Telling With Your Help
To produce this publication each month, deadlines fall almost three weeks before one of these puppies is in your hands. It’s worth it. Just feel the paper. It’s higher quality than even Sports Illustrated.
To meet deadlines, stories are planned, researched and written as far as six weeks or more in advance, making your role as a reader and high school sports fan more important than ever.

We have a lot of exciting things going on here at... More

A Letter From the Editor
Seems like only last week when we were fumbling our way through our first issue, simply trying to unearth enough stories and photos to fill all the pages.
Time flies when you’re having this much fun.
Now that we’re already to issue No. 10, the struggle isn’t about filling holes, but rather finding enough space to include all the superb photos and story ideas that come our way each month.

People have been asking for months if we were ever going to do a statewide football preview and the short answer has been “maybe.”
After exploring advertising, distribution and various other details, we’re happy to announce the inaugural issue of HSSTM’s Football Preview will be on newsstands this summer.
A high-quality publication similar to our monthly issues — only about three times more pages — will be filled with features... More

A Letter from the Editor
Welcome to our sixth issue! Some were skeptical we could make it, but all indicators are that we’re here to stay. That’s due to our readers, coaches, administrators and advertisers who make each issue possible.
Notwithstanding, we want to keep improving and would love to hear from our readers about ways to reach new levels. We get plenty of feedback about what folks like about the magazine, but we... More
