East Central earned a trip to the Class 5A state tournament in head coach Brian Morgan’s second season at the helm. Morgan’s squad dropped a 49-44 decision to Carl Albert in the finals, but the Cardinals are expected to make another strong run this season, a big reason being the leadership of senior guard Ken Holdman Jr. His father, Ken Holdman, is very active in the community coaching AAU basketball and his younger son Keenan Holdman.
