The Mahtomedi girls lacrosse team was part of the inaugural State Tournament last year and hope to be back again this season. They will look to senior Sara Stahnke and her co-captains Ali Chi and Mel Sauer to lead them against the West Metro powerhouses.

    Sara’s involvements in high school have included volleyball, interact club, yearbook editor and four years in girls lacrosse. She has a GPA of 3.6 and plans to study engineering and play lacrosse at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. HSSTM asked first-year coach Rick Estes and Sara’s dad Blake a few questions to see who knew Sara better.
