Bo Schiffler, Woodbury: The quarterback, a senior in his first year as full-time starter, led the Royals to a 21-20 victory at Mounds View after hurling a 12-yard touchdown pass to tight end Logan Crossley then running in a two-point conversion with less than two minutes to play. It was the first time since 2004 that Woodbury won a season opener.
