Wildcats earn Vype Team of the Week Honors

Boys, girls track and field teams win True Team Sectionals

The Eagan High School boys and girls track and field teams share this week's Vype Team of the Week honors after a Wildcat sweep at the Section 2AAA True Team meet, May 6-7 at Park High School in Cottage Grove.
Both squads now advance to the State True Team meet, held May 16 at Stillwater High School.
Eagan's boys squad won with a score of 848.5, with first-place finishes going to Sam Frisell in the pole vault, Nick Harms in the 110-meter high hurdles, as well as the 4x100-meter relay team.
The Wildcats' girls team recorded 758 points for its victory, with top placings going to Elise Raney in the high jump, Katie Ryan in the 110-meter high hurdles and Taylor Berg in the 1600-meter run.
