The No. 1 team in the state was upset last night in a Lake Conference match-up. Lakeville North (6-4) scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to beat Eagan (9-1) 2-0. Lakeville North's pitcher Erika Sorenson pitched a four-hit shutout with six strikeouts on the night. Batting in runs for the Panthers were third baseman Adirenne Koncur and short-stop Christine Dynneson. Second baseman Michaela Goris contributed two hits in the victory. The loss is the first of the season for the Wildcats who still hold the top spot in the conference.

Lakeville North's next game is Saturday against Andover while Eagan takes on Chaska Friday.
