MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn.- Saint Thomas Academy announced Thursday, Dec. 18 that Tim McManus, a 2007 graduate of Mendota Heights, has been chosen the 2009-2010 captain of the Dartmouth College football team. This is only the second time in the history of Dartmouth College that a junior has been named a captain of the football team. In his career at the Academy, McManus set school records for: - Career passing yards - 3,297 - Career passing touchdowns - 26 - Season passing yards - 1,852 He was named Prep Athlete of the Week by KARE11, the Saint Paul Pioneer Press and the Star Tribune. The Pioneer Press also named him to the All-State Football Team, and KARE11 to the All-Metro Football Team. At Dartmouth, he was one of only two sophomores named a district academic All-American this past season.
