Eagan's Sarah McCrady single-handedly halted Woodbury's plans for domination in the Section 3AA diving championships on Wednesday at Richfield Middle School, topping the field with an All-American Consideration score of 369.45 to top the 20-diver field. McCrady became the first non-Royals diver since Eagan's Danielle Fritze in 1997 to win the sectional crown and only the fourth non-Royal to prevail since Section 3 came into being in 1991. The Wildcat also prevented Woodbury from making state history. The Royals quartet of Erin Kohlbeck, Emily Bonfig, Jenna Karrow and Bailee Meyer was looking to become the first foursome to sweep all the state qualifying spots in sectional competition. While the four finished in second through fifth, respectively, only Kohlbeck, Bonfig and Karrow will be joining McCrady at the State Class AA Meet at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center on Nov. 20 and 24.
