Phillippi on to North American Hockey League

Hill-Murray graduate and former goalie, Joe Phillippi, will be playing his first year out of high school in Fairbanks, Alaska with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the North American Hockey League. Phillippi stood on his head over the course of the 2008 State Hockey Tournament as his team beat Roseau, No. 1 ranked team in the tournament, in the semi-finals and won the Class AA title by beating the No. 2 team Edina. Phillippi is hoping to gain attention from Division I programs over the course of the year but will have to battle for the starting goaltender position.
