Woodbury bests Mounds View in battle of undefeateds
The Woodbury girls soccer team, ranked first in Class AA, remained undefeated with a 1-0 victory over third-ranked Mounds View on Tuesday evening at Royals Stadium in Woodbury.
Royals' sophomore defender Lauren Reid tallied the would-be game-winner for Woodbury as she and her teammates held the visitors, who had scored six goals in their first two games, off the board for the victory. The goal was the first of Reid's varsity career,
Woodbury improved to 5-0-1 on the season, while Mounds View dropped to 4-1.
