St. Thomas Rifle 7th in Nation

SAINT THOMAS ACADEMY RIFLE TEAM PLACES 7TH OUT OF 1,200 IN U.S. ARMY JUNIOR AIR RIFLE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Saint Thomas Academy Rifle Team recently placed seventh in the “sporter” category at the 2008 U.S. Army Junior Air Rifle National Championship in Ft. Benning, Ga. The invite-only competition included the country’s top 1,200 teams comprised of 4,500 individual junior shooters. Individually, team members’ results were:
- Will Sullivan ’09, of Minneapolis, 11th in the nation
- Blake Bowersox ’09, of Saint Mary’s Point, 13th
- Elliot Mitchem ’09, of West Saint Paul, 30th
- David Zimmermann ’10, of Eagan, 31st
