Mounds View High School alum Mark Hamburger was traded by the Minnesota Twins to the Texas Rangers in a deal for Eddie Guardado, who saved 86 games in a two-year span in 2002 and 2003 before joining the Seattle Mariners as a free agent.
Hamburger, a 21-year-old who signed with the Twins after taking part in the team's tryout camp in 2007, will be assigned to the Rangers' Class A club in Clinton, Iowa after tallying 13 saves for Rookie League Elizabethon this year.
