Division I champs now head to Regionals
Eastview won the American Legion State Division I Baseball Tournament title on Aug. 10 at Alimagnet Park in Burnsville, defeating defending champion Eden Prairie, 16-6, on a sun-soaked evening in the southern metro.
A 20-hit attack spurred Eastview to the victory as the winners posted a four-spot on the board in the opening inning and never looked back en route to the championship.
The State champs will now advance to regional competition in Minot, N.D., as does second-place Eden Prairie in Chillicothe, Ohio.
