I have to admit that for me this time of year always brings mixed emotions. It’s an exciting time because seniors have graduated and are entering a new phase of their lives, but it’s a sad time as well having to say goodbye to people moving on.

This year has been a very special one for us since it was our first covering high school sports in the Twin Cities. It’s been a privilege getting to know some of the athletes and being able to cover exceptional kids. Teams and individuals have given us a year to remember and this month’s “Collector’s Edition” is dedicated to reliving those memories. Month by month, starting with our inaugural issue in November, we highlight stories from the year.

It may seem like spring sports ended a lifetime ago, but there are some exciting finishes we cover in this month’s issue. You’ll find state tournament reviews for baseball, softball, track and field, tennis and golf in our Game Plan section. Congratulations to all teams who participated.

To the Class of 2008 - Congratulations and good luck. Always remember the lessons you learned, memories you had and friendships you made. No matter how your team did over the course of the season, it’s those three things that you’ll look back on in years to come. We’ll be watching as many of you go off to compete at the college level.

As we close out the school year, thank you to the Twin Cities community for the warm welcome we have received from the beginning. I would also like to thank each of the advertisers, writers, photographers, coaches, parents and athletes for making this magazine possible. We look forward to the many seasons and memories to come!
