David Tran is a senior at Sanderson High School and is on the school’s Varsity Wrestling Team. This school year marks an important milestone for the Sanderson Wrestlers for they will be defending their title as the Cap-7 Conference Champions. VYPE thought this was the perfect opportunity to let David, his coach and mom relax a little and take part in our light-hearted Triple Play.
Raleigh - Durham, North Carolina

For David, wrestling is a “direct reflection of how hard you work. It’s a sport in which anybody can be beaten at anytime. I enjoy the glory of a win and how hard work pays off.” Let’s see if his Mom and Coach can work as hard at our Triple Play and guess David’s answers to a few fun questions. ...
This month VYPE interviewed Isaac Minor, a junior on Fuquay-Varina High School’s Varsity Football Team…an activity that is very familiar to the Minor Family. Generations of Minor Men have played for Fuquay, but what about Mom? Will she be able to channel the Bengal Spirit and answer our Triple Play questions correctly, or will Isaac’s Coach have the upper hand?
Raleigh - Durham, North Carolina

Isaac has been playing football since the second grade and is currently a Middle Linebacker for Fuquay-Varina. What is his favorite part about playing for the Bengals? He said, “knowing that Fuquay is the same school that my brothers, my dad, and his brothers have played at.” ...
For October’s Triple Play, VYPE caught up with Josh Pappas, a Junior who plays on the Cedar Ridge Varsity Football Team. As usual, we interviewed his coach and a parent to see who knew Josh better-but this month there is a twist! Josh’s father is also the Athletic Director at Cedar Ridge. Will this give Dad a competitive advantage? There’s only one way to find out…
Raleigh - Durham, North Carolina

Under the Friday Night Lights, you will find Josh Pappas on the Football Field playing Wide Receiver and Defensive Back. What does Josh like best about playing football at Cedar Ridge? “Going out every Friday night and having thousands of people watching your game,” he said. ...
Chase Redden plays soccer for Cary Academy’s Varsity Soccer Team. To kick off Chase’s senior year, VYPE thought it would be fun to see who knows him better, his mom or his soccer coach.
Raleigh - Durham, North Carolina

Not only does Chase play soccer, but he also plays Lacrosse and does some rock climbing. While he is very enthusiastic about rock climbing, he says that soccer is his all time favorite sport. With three different sports under his belt, Chase turns to old-fashioned hard work and long hours to balance sports and academics successfully. To ease some of his stress, VYPE asked him some fun Triple Play questions....
Karson Ratliff is a sophomore at Wake Forest-Rolesville High School and serves as an Outside Hitter for the school's Volleyball team. Can her mother and coach guess her answers to a few personal questions?
Raleigh - Durham, North Carolina

Karson's coach, Jenna, has been with the Wake Forest-Rolesville Cougars for about a year. We thought this would be a great time to test how well she knows Karson, so we asked Jenna and her mother Kristy, to take part in our monthly lighthearted triple play. ...
