Scholarships Awarded to Six Local High School Athletes

Today, the Raleigh Sports Club, Inc. awarded scholarships to six local high school athletes for outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments. Originally established with only 12 members, the Raleigh Sports Club, Inc. (RSC) has grown to approximately 400 members who gather weekly to listen to some of the most influential college and professional sporting figures and recognize local athletes for achievements made both on and off the field. At this year's scholarship ceremony, Tom Suiter was present to congratulate the teens as they accepted recognition for outstanding dedication and discipline. The following athletes are this year's recipients of the Raleigh Sports Club, Inc.'s Student Athlete Scholarship: Tyler Brinton Hopkins, Enloe High School - Football and Baseball Kathryn Ann Fogartie, Ravenscroft - Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer and Athletic Training Owen Hayden, Broughton High School - Football, Basketball, Baseball and Track Amanda R.
